ARAS and the students of Vinco Kreves Lithuanian School play in Washington DC
Saturday
April 27th, members of ARAS joined the students of Vinco Kreves
Lituanistine Mokykla in their field trip to Washington DC. Two
basketball games were scheduled, one for the students, a second for
the parents. Both games were well played, very competitive and enjoyed
by both the players and the crowds in the stands. Our hosts showed us in
both cases that road games are not easy to win! Following the games, the group visited the Lithuanian Embassy
where Mrs. Renata Ališauskienė led our group on an extensive tour,
explaining the very interesting history of the building and its staff to
our group from Philadelphia. We are all very grateful to Mrs. Renata for
the time taken and effort put into hosting our group. After our visit at
the embassy we visited several museums in the Washington area.
