Januray, February,
AND March Madness at the Lithuanian Music Hall

Sunday January 27th we saw the children of the Vincas Kreve Lithuanian School of Philadelphia perform songs and dances for the enjoyment of their parents and the St. Andrew’s Parish. One of this year’s highlights was a luncheon featuring “Kugelis”. As always we expect and received a belated visit from Santa!

Sunday January 27th at 2:30pm – 4:00pm at the Lithuanian Music Hall, the Molecule and E teams had a regularly scheduled practice.

Sunday January 27th at 4:pm at the Lithuanian Music Hall, many gathered to cheer on their favorite NFL football team – the Philadelphia Eagles. The Lithuanian Music Hall now has the technology to show the game on a 13 foot by 15 foot giant screen. We had hoped to meet again on Feb. 3rd to continue to cheer on the Philadelphia Eagles – to a Super Bowl Championship.

Friday, February 8th, started our own All-Star weekend. Sarunas Marciulionis, one of the best Lithuanian basketball players ever, came to Philadelphia. Sarunas was on the basketball teams representing Lithuania in two different Olympics. He was also the first Lithuanian to play in the NBA. Sarunas along with Lithuanian Ambassador Vygaudas Usackas were at the Lithuanian Music Hall Friday between 5:00 and 7:00pm. There was an opportunity to hear Sarunas speak on various topics and also to get his autograph, to be photographed with him and even to play one-on-one against him. There was also an opportunity to personally chat with the Lithuanian Ambassador Vygaudas Usackas.

Saturday, February 9th, again at the Lithuanian Music Hall there was a Valentine’s Day Dance. The Dance started at 7:00pm.
