On Sunday March 13th, after the 10:30 Mass at St. Andrew's Church in
Philadelphia, Virginija Paplauskienė, curator of the Maironis Lithuanian
Literature Museum in Kaunas, Lithuania will address Philadelphia's
Lithuanian community. Virginija Paplauskienė is the great-granddaughter
of one of the sisters of Maironis. She will talk about the Maironis
museum, about her work collecting emigrant literature, and about her
project to collect information on emigrant museums started by pre-WWI
emigrants. Virginija Paplauskiene is the author of many works and articles
in Lithuania. Her presentation in Philadelphia is being organized by Amber
Roots and the Lithuanian Cultural Center. All are invited to participate. |
