JULIJA
DANTIENE, Exton, PA
During more than 40 years of work in the LAC my activities included work in a Lithuanian theater in Chicago and as a principal and teacher in Lemont, IL at the Lithuanian Saturday school. There I wrote and directed stage plays for school children as well as amateur adults. In the Philadelphia chapter of the LAC, I was the Executive Committee member for cultural affairs. During the struggle for Lithuanian independence my duties were those of vice-president. During that time I had the opportunity to work with local newspapers, radio and TV. I was and still am a member of the LAC Board of Directors.
For the last 13 years I am the coordinator for the Voice of the LAC, a weekly radio program broadcast in Philadelphia. I do feel that I could contribute to the next LAC Board of Directors as its member.
