LAC Election Results
     Founded in 1951, the Lithuanian-American Community, Inc. (LAC) represents Lithuanian-Americans through its over 70 chapters across the United States.  Every person of Lithuanian descent is considered to be a member of the organization.  Recently, voting rights in LAC elections have been extended to include persons of non-Lithuanian descent who are married to LAC members.  During its existence, the LAC has steadfastly pursued the following objectives:

1.         Promoting active participation in American society;

2.         Fostering and maintaining Lithuanian culture and heritage; and

3.         Aiding in the strengthening of democracy in independent Lithuania.

     The activities of the LAC are carried out by the National Executive Committee, which is chosen by sixty members of the Board of Directors, elected for a three-year term.
