February 16th: Our Celebration of Lithuania's Independence |

This year's celebration was Sunday, February 22 with Mass of Thanksgiving
at 11 a.m. at St. George Lithuanian R.C. Church, Salmon and Venengo Sts.
The cultural program was at 2 P.M. at the Lithuanian
Music Hall, 2715 E. Allegheny Ave. and featured Lithuanian Folk Dance
Groups "Ausrine" and "Zilvinas", "Kaimo Kapela"
Village Band, choir "Laisve" and students Lithuanian Heritage
School. [Allegheny exit from interstate 95, a block down passed the Sunoco
gas station.]
After Mass, before the cultural program, a Lithuanian dinner was available at the Lithuanian Music Hall and after the program light refreshments and beverages. All were invited. Voluntary donations will be appreciated to fund the work of the Lithuanian American Community, Inc. |
